In recent years, the Maltese labour market has seen a substantial increase in the employment of foreign nationals which brings with it a number of challenges and opportunities. The skill of any leader or HR professional is leveraging the opportunities while addressing the challenges keeping the organisation as well as employees’ best interest in mind.
It can be a major challenge to work in a multicultural work environment mostly because you are faced with employees who have beliefs, values and backgrounds which are not only different from yours but also different from their colleagues’.
