First HR Network Series event for 2017

The 5th HR Network Series, organised by Salariesinmalta.com, was held on 17th February 2017 at Xara Lodge in Rabat, Malta.

​For this HR Network Series event, we had the pleasure to have with us, Robert Whittaker, an executive coach, joining us from Singapore, together with Sharon Mulligan, an advisor & executive coach with PsyPotential and Wendy Raywood, an Executive Coach & Mentor at Mdina International Ltd. The speakers spoke about executive coaching and leadership coaching in organizations. Coaching is increasingly being adopted in organizations as an effective way to develop new leaders, enhance the capabilities of leaders and managers and better manage and lead people for high performance. It is also a great retention strategy used in many companies to bring out the best in their employees. ​ Robert Whittaker is the founder and CEO of Shared Future™ Pte. Ltd. based in Singapore. Robert was an associate lecturer at the Manchester Business School in the UK and then moved to Asia to head the Corporate University of STMicroelectronics Ltd. In that role, Robert’s focus was to provide the next pipeline of Leaders in Asia. After several years in that role, Robert decided to setup his company with a focus on Leadership Development in Asia providing Executive coaching to senior leaders across different organizations in Asia Pacific. He comes with over 25 years of strong business and academic background.

Sharon is an experienced Strategic Advisor and Executive Coach specialising in leadership development, improving corporate cultures and strengthening businesses through coaching Senior Executives and their teams.Sharon is a Member of both the Institute of Leadership & Management (MInstLM) and The Academy for Chief Executives Malta. In addition to over 25 years of experience at Senior Executive/Director level roles she also holds a PGDip in HR Strategies & Leadership Development and her experience spans across multiple industries such as Financial Services, Conferencing, Publishing and Retail.Sharon is currently working alongside PsyPotential Malta as an Associate Coach.

Caroline in an avid and passionate HR professional who has worked in large multinational companies both in manufacturing and the finance sector. She served as Global Learning Director in Europe, US and Asia. She is fluent in manufacturing excellence, business excellence, building HR capability and driving company performance through leadership development. Her experience has given her a clear understanding of what it takes to inspire, lead, grow and manage people.

The focus of these HR network events is to create a strong community of HR leaders and practitioners that will redefine and reshape HR in Malta, through the collaboration and sharing of best practices. Throughout the series, salariesinmalta.com focus on specific topics dealt with in the HR arena, and feature leading local and international HR Directors and business leaders from different companies and sectors, to provide insight on these topics from their aspect.

Our next HR Network Session, planned for Friday 5th May, we will discuss the topic of Talent Attraction & Retention Strategies.
